 A Guide to Life Coaching

If you’re considering finding a life coach, you might feel like you’re at a crossroads. Perhaps you’ve decided to change careers, or a major life event has left you struggling to come up with your next move. Regardless of the reason, a life coach can help you get back on track, increase self-awareness, clarify your priorities, and, ultimately, accomplish your personal and professional goals. The best life coaches are board-certified, have multiple specialties, and are accessible through more than one platform.

Best Coaching in Gurgaon

A life coach is not a therapist. According to the American Psychological Association, unlike therapy, life coaching is a largely unregulated field, but its focus on helping clients achieve specific, often career-focused goals has shown to be beneficial for those who commit to it.

While life coach isn’t required to have a license or certification to practice, they can, and often do, acquire certification by completing training at an accredited training program. To help you find the right fit for your needs, we rounded up the most skilled and effective life coaches in the business.

  • Neuro-Linguistic Programming

NLP stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programming, and it teaches you how to change the way you think, look back on experiences, and approach life. Neuro-Linguistic Programming teaches you how to master your mind and, as a result, your life. NLP employs perceptual, behavioural, and communicative strategies to help people change their minds and behaviours. NLP (Neuro-linguistic Programming) is a method for controlling your mind and the minds of others. Richard Bandler and John Grinder published it in the 1970s after conducting extensive research on successful people and how they consistently achieve success in whatever they do. It was popular among psychoanalytic specialists and therapists in the 1970s and 1980s. NLP quickly gained a lot of traction in the 1990s. Major corporations and organizations have invested in NLP training to achieve incredible results that have helped them increase productivity and revenues. NLP also got popular in sports as major athletes hired their own NLP coach to teach them how to enter extremely fruitful states of mind.

  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)

Solution-Building Therapy is also known as Solution-Focused Therapy. Beginning in the late 1970s in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Steve de Shazer (1940-2005) and Insoo Kim Berg (1934-2007) and their colleagues created practise therapy. SFBT is future-oriented, goal-oriented, and solutions-oriented, rather than the issues that led clients to seek treatment.

  • Hypnotherapy

Dr. Milton Erickson's style of indirect hypnosis is known as Ericksonian Hypnosis. Erickson, a well-known American psychiatrist and psychologist, is known as the "Father of Hypnotherapy." From strategic family therapy to neuro-linguistic programming, his insights have affected a wide range of therapies. Indirect suggestion, according to Dr. Erickson, can lead to therapeutic behavioural change. Ericksonian hypnosis differs from traditional hypnosis in that the trance state is not deliberately inducted, or put another way, trance is not imposed. Trance is induced and used by skillfully use of language patterns designed to create a relaxed and trance state in another person. We highly recommend only Ericksonian Hypnotherapy as it is totally safe, does not usually require deep trance and brings results faster by cleansing deeper issues embedded in the neural pathways and deep memory areas

  • Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a type of psychotherapeutic treatment that helps people learn how to identify and change destructive or disturbing thought patterns that have a negative influence on behavior and emotions.Cognitive behavioral therapy focuses on changing the automatic negative thoughts that can contribute to and worsen emotional difficulties, depression, and anxiety. These spontaneous negative thoughts have a detrimental influence on mood.Through CBT, these thoughts are identified, challenged, and replaced with more objective, realistic thoughts. It allows you to engage in healthier thinking patterns by becoming aware of the negative and often unrealistic thoughts that dampen your feelings and moods. It is an effective short-term treatment option; for example, improvements can be seen in five to 20 sessions.
